- THE
- TRUTH,
- THE
WHOLE TRUTH,
- AND
- NOTHING
- BUT...
|
-
- Unlike adult converts who have
to make a conscious decision to become Catholic (and earn the
rite to become one.) The vast majority of Catholics receive their
gift of Faith as infants. Unless they grow to embrace it emotionally,
spiritually and intellectually, they never grow to understand
or appreciate all their Roman Catholic Faith is or all that it
means. Many haven't inherited the unquestioning religious fervor
of their imigrant parents. Many have never had the benefit of
solid catechical Catholic teaching. Many more have misinterpreted
the ecumenical purpose of Vatican II as a reason for functional
disinterest or lack of discipline. (May that's why regular Sunday
Mass attendance is dramatically lower and premarital sex is dramatically
higher than it was 30 years ago.)
Our "Rock The Cradle
TM""feature hopes to wake up "cradle Catholics"
to the realities of their Faith and all responsibilities that
"being" Catholic entails. It may take the form of an
editorial, magazine or news article, research finding, Papal
comment or personal testimony.Whichever form the issue takes,
you can guarantee it will drive its respective point home. So
be sure to visit regularly.
See what it means to be a committed
Catholic.
See what it means to be true
to your Catholic Faith.
Then mind what it says and take
it to heart.
WARNING: If
you're into cafeteria food for thought, you don't want to come
here.
